This long-term project involved the design and realization of a garden house that gradually evolved into a fully functional tiny vacation home. From concept to construction, the process took several years and was developed in close collaboration with the clients.

The clients intended to build a large part of the structure themselves, based on the original design. This required a clear and detailed design approach, ensuring that the concept could be translated accurately into a self-built process.

The goal was to create more than just a garden structure — a space that feels like a small retreat, designed for regular use and weekend stays.

This project focused on the redesign of a teenage bedroom for Sarah’s Sweet 16.

The original space, previously her brother’s room, was transformed into a lighter and more colorful environment tailored to her personality and needs. The concept shifted from a grey, neutral teenager room to a brighter young adult space with a playful use of color. Although initially hesitant about using pink, the final design created a balanced atmosphere that felt both personal and functional, with space for her belongings and daily use.

The project focused on translating personal preferences into a cohesive and livable interior concept.

This interior design project was developed for Fam. Dekker, exploring a balance between industrial design and a more colorful, expressive twist. The concept focuses on creating a strong yet inviting atmosphere through material contrast and subtle use of color.

The space is designed as an open layout, combining a kitchen, dining area, living room, and office space into one coherent environment. The goal was to maintain functionality while ensuring a clear spatial flow between the different zones.

The design process included a mix of digital and analog techniques to develop and communicate the concept.

This project was developed for the Meelfabriek in Leiden and focused on designing both a residential space and a spa across two levels of the building. It was one of the larger-scale projects I have worked on, combining multiple functions within a single architectural context.

The design aimed to create a clear distinction between private living spaces and a calm, spa-like environment, while maintaining a cohesive overall atmosphere throughout the two levels.
The project required a strong focus on spatial planning, function, and material atmosphere.

This project explores the needs and character of the surrounding neighbourhood, combined with an all-round, accessible retail concept. Based on this research, the foundation for the brand identity and spatial design was developed.

After defining a fitting name for the store, the project expanded into the creation of a logo, visual identity, and style guide. This was followed by the design of the interior space and window displays, ensuring a coherent experience between branding and spatial design.

The project focuses on the connection between context, branding, and interior space.

This project involved the design of a film set for a short movie about the bombing of Rotterdam.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on one of the main sets, focusing on both spatial design and styling. I was responsible for designing and furnishing the set, ensuring it supported the narrative and historical context of the film. The experience provided valuable insight into working within a cinematic production environment, where atmosphere and storytelling are central.

This project played an important role in strengthening my interest in interior design and spatial styling.
